Our work site was an expansive rear lawn sloping down to a river. The clients wanted a complete makeover: a series of terraced planting areas confined with fieldstone retaining walls. This project was a departure from my usual utilitarian/minimalistic approach. These walls are all curved, not a straight line anywhere, either in elevation or plan view, lending a whimsical feel to the property.
